The great resignation is going on right now. There are lots of people that are choosing not to go back to work.

The best employees of the future are self-employed minded.

The mindset of the self-employed is more aligned to the human way of living.

I am a big believer in not fighting against the challenges. Our brains hardly ever shut off. Do what you can to get it out of your brain right away by writing it down.

The solution is creating a self-employed ecosystem. The three parts of the ecosystem are: Your personal development, business strategies, daily habits. 

Find the sweet spot between action and manifestation.

Understand the results you want for business and life and then reverse engineer it to understand what you need to do.

The book is about the life of self-employed people. People choose that route to build the life that they want.

More than ever people are choosing how to do business with a brand based on how they feel about the brand; either favourably or unfavourably. People used to choose more based on whether you were the best at what you did or not.

People are deciding that life is valuable and that time is limited and they want to have more impact on the world.

Hug marketing is Jeffrey‘s answer to marketing funnels. Marketing funnels are creepy and unnatural for self-employed people. They don’t have the energy that self-employed people need or want. Hug customers are the customers that you would imagine when you meet them in person you would give them a hug. They are the ones who will give out customer referrals. It’s not just a business strategy it’s a way of being in business. 

As self-employed people and businesses are more than likely relationally based and there is a degree of intimacy that has to be developed than a larger business would have to.
