Putting the Soul Back in Order
This wonderful sermon is from one of my mentors and favorite pastors, Brian Buhler. Brian is a pastor at Pacific Community Church. He is also a painter, father, grandfather, husband, and has one heck of a great jump shot.

In this sermon on Psalm 19 Brian talks about the following topics:
- How is it with your soul?
- Stop, unplug your life and become quiet to hear the voice of your soul and the voice of God.
- The soul – “He restores my soul…”
- An ongoing, transforming conversation with God, or “putting the sparkle back in your eyes”
- How does God speak?
- How are we to view creation as a means to hear God? (“God uses creation to revive our souls.”)
- “Praise completes the pleasure.”
- Is creation enough?
- “Your soul needs the Book”
- We have a rock and a redeemer
- A high calling – the Church is now God’s revelation to the world

I think this is one of the most complete sermons, or talks I have ever heard regarding contemplation. Brian talks about creation, listening to God, beauty, the Book, the church and being God’s revelation to our neighbours. Awesome!

”Rod, I am so grateful for this today. Have been thinking about how to come alongside friends who are soul-sick and how to keep my own soul revived. Thanks for sharing.”
